A family home is a house built for occupancy by a single family. Family homes can vary in size and feature any number of rooms. There are different types of family homes: for example, terraced houses or semi-detached houses, which are very common.
A terraced house refers to a house within a row of single family homes that are built adjoining one another. A semi-detached house, however, consists of two halves, each with one family home.
